Product Designer@ Drivetrain

We are looking to hire a Product Designer to help craft the future of Drivetrain. Designers serve a vital role here from creating the experience of new features, to the craft and finish of every detail in the product. We welcome designers who think deeply, speak clearly, love collaboration and feedback, and have an excellent collection of animated gifs.
What you'll be doing:
Work through design problems from beginning to end: translating research insights into ideas that form disruptive new products and features, then designing the workflows and detailed interactions to realize them
Sketch and prototype ideas to quickly access viability and design the fine-grained details of interactions & Iterate based on feedback from the whole team.
Use and evolve our design system in order to craft flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity visuals for your features.
Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, facilitate design discussions, and give feedback in planning and product channels.
Partner with engineering to ensure that our implementation and user experience are of high quality.
What you will need:
You have 2-5 years of experience designing digital products and systems, not just websites. You have helped ship B2B SaaS products.
Owns the end-to-end design process: You can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions, mock them up in detail, and work with engineers to build them.
You have experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
Solid understanding of building usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale.
Ability to articulate why a visual treatment does or doesn't work at a detailed level.
You're a self-starter who actively seeks ways to make the Drivetrain experience both visually appealing and easy to use.
Bonus: If you have prior experience in crafting analytics-driven products.

Round 3: Portfolio walkthrough with the panel
Rounds 4&5: Technical/Culture fit with the founders
We're looking for a portfolio that clearly outlines the problems you were tackling with your design work. It should include the process you applied to tackling the challenges, rather than focusing just on visuals and landing pages. Your portfolio should be well structured and clear. Your experience should ideally focus on designing software products.
