Finance Associate@ Sprinto

The Role:

We are looking for a reliable Financial Associate who will analyze everyday financial activities and subsequently advise and guide the management on future financial plans. The role would be a fair mix of execution and strategy. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.



Some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensuring timely closure of accounting every month

  • Monthly/ Quarterly MIS preparation and reporting to Management/ Board/ Investors

  • [Consolidated basis], incorporating various SaaS metrics

  • Coordinating and assisting in audit completion activities for US and Indian entities

  • Budgeting, monitoring actuals and reporting out variances along with explanations for variances at organizational, departmental, headcount and expense levels

  • Treasury management of funds in the bank account of US and India entities to ensure the smooth running of business operations and to optimize returns on idle cash through optimal investment decisions, obtaining optimal forex rates & minimizing conversion costs

  • Ensuring timely collection of revenues from customers and timely payments to vendors

  • Hawk's eye focus on spend optimisation strategies across various spending categories

  • Working with global indirect tax solution providers to streamline & automate the global indirect tax process end to end

  • Effective implementation of Transfer Pricing aspects in accordance with the master service agreement and OECD guidelines

  • Ensuring compliance with US and India Tax laws (Sales/ Service tax, Withholding tax, Income/ Direct Tax, Other indirect taxes, filing of forms & returns, etc.)

  • Strategic assessment of the impact of various tax provisions on the group structure and key transactions and providing decision-enabling inputs/ suggestions to the management

  • Ensuring timely reporting to various authorities (including RBI, tax authorities, Secretary of state in the US, local authorities, etc.)

  • Working on implementing software tools and onboarding service providers to automate various tasks relating to Finance and Tax management

  • Implementing policies for various financial transactions to ensure smooth and efficient operational flows

  • Building robust data and document tracking systems to automate & streamline various reporting, auditing, diligence and communication requirements

  • Developing master metrics dashboards & checklists of key closing tasks to ensure effective tracking & cross-collaboration of efforts

Some key requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2 to 5 years' work experience in the areas of finance

  • Cross border experience is preferable, but not essential

  • Prior experience in Big 4 firms is a plus, but not essential

  • A motivated candidate with curiosity to learn and unlearn at rapid pace

  • A strong passion for customers, a high level of comfort with uncomfortable transparency, and a keen sense of ownership and drive to deliver results
