Overview: 

A Proposal Writer empowers the Corporate Sales team by creating powerful and impactful sales pitches and solutions that address a client’s needs. As a Proposal Writer in the Presales team of the Corporate Sales department, you will be enabling revenue generation by supporting the conversion of large corporate clients (publishers, journals, academic societies, and universities). You will be interacting directly with the global corporate sales team as well as with senior executive management



Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming RFP/RFI response requests and custom proposal requests

  • Review and analyse the RFP/bid/client requirements against the proposal outline to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the customer's issues and needs

  • Collaborate with sales and other teams to gather information that results in persuasive content

  • Produce written material by organizing and editing content suited for government bids, proposals, capability documents, presentations, and other types of pre sales documentation

  • Review the scope of documents against proposal requirements to ensure compliance and completeness of information

  • Maintain quality by utilizing standardized processes and templates and following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone

Qualifications and Prerequisites:

  • 3 - 4 years of experience as a Proposal Writer or working in a similar role

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, or Technical Writing

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills
